Fairview is Vancouver’s Westside Neighborhood located between 16^th Ave to the South, Cambie Street to the East, Burrard Street to the West and False Creek to the North.

Fairview was one of the first places to be logged in Vancouver during the 1860’s, but it remained mostly undeveloped till the 1900’s when the city boundaries became more established.

Fairview attracts a wide range of people because of it diverse offerings. It has a population of 29,295 people with the average age being between 20-39 years old and the median income being approximately $52,458.

There are various real estate options within Fairview including: high- end condos, renovated and un-renovated apartment buildings, student accommodation and a few detached homes. Although there are new ten story plus apartment buildings in Fairview most buildings were built in the 1980’s when zoning restrictions only allowed three story buildings. This creates a smaller neighborhood feeling through Fairview.

Fairview is home to one of Vancouver’s biggest attractions: Granville Island. Granville Island is filled with shops, markets, unique clothing stores, hand crafted jewelry and Emily Carr University of Art and Design. Other attractions in Fairview include: Charleson Park, Stanley Industrial Alliance Stage, South Granville shopping and a plethora of ethnic restaurants including: West, Viji’s, Red Door, Shabusen and Banana Leaf. Fairview is simply one of those neighborhoods that has something for everyone.
