Kitsilano is boarded by Alma Street on the West, Burrard Street to the East, 16th ave to the south and Kits/Jericho beach in the North.
“Kits” as it is commonly known was
an inexpensive area to live in during the 1960’s. It was one of the two
popular locations for Vancouver hippies to reside in, Gastown being the
other. Later in the 80’s the Yuppie culture took an interest in
Kitsilano real estate and began moving into this neighbourhood.
Today Kits is one of the most desirable places to live in Vancouver. It’s proximity to parks, beaches, shops, restaurants, trails, schools and downtown makes it a great location for many Vancouverites. It has a population of 39,620 people with the average age being between 20-39 years old and the median income being approximately $66,039.
In the past 10 years Kitsilano real estate prices have become some of the highest prices not only in Vancouver and the rest of Canada because of everything it has to offer. There is a wide range of Kitsilano condos and Kitsilano homes available in this area, because of the diverse housing available within Kitsilano real estate there is also a wide range in pricing; from rooftop penthouse suites to shared housing and student accommodation.

Kitsilano is also the birthplace of Lululemon and the their head office still resides on Cornwall at the foot of the Burrard bridge. The are also various yoga studio’s such as Semperviva and YYoga in the neighbourhood. 4th avenue in Kits is well known for great shopping, funky cafes, and a wide range of restaurants including Las Margarites, Refuel restaurant, Brown’s social house and the famous Naam restaurant.
