Vancouver Mural Festival: Art Party!

Vancouver Mural Festival

Arguably one of the more colourful events in the city, Vancouver Mural Festival returned this past week for its fourth year of wall-to-wall paint and parties.

Highlights included twenty-five new murals completed for the festival and a solo exhibition by OBEY Clothing founder and street artist Shepard Fairey. This year’s lineup of artists includes world-renowned muralists and street artists, such as Australia’s Fintan Magee, ONEQ from Japan, Germany’s SatOne and Medianeras, who hails from Argentina, as well as local talents KC Hall and Pablo Zamudio.

All of this comes together to fulfill the VMF mandate to showcase the diversity of Vancouver's art scene while creating accessible public art designed to stimulate talk about social and cultural issues that impact all who live here.

Best enjoyed on foot or by bike, this interactive map will help you view all of the murals and showcases the colourful transformation of the Mount Pleasant neighbourhood while connecting you with artists' visions.

Whether you're an artsy type or just looking for a photo-op, there is something for everyone!

Murals are throughout the city, focused in Lower Mount Pleasant (Main St. & 2nd Ave)
